SPIDERS

SORRY, THERE IS NO ROOM FOR A FURTHER SPIDER TO TUCK IN.

EVERYBODY IS A SPIDER IN LIFE.
AWAITING HIS PREY, HE IS PATIENT,
PLEASING AND ENTERPRISING.
IMAGINE THE POSTURES OF
THE SHOP KEEPER,
DOCTORS,
ADVOCATES,
BUS OPERATORS
ENTRANCE COACHING CENTRES
AND EVEN THE AGENTS OF PROFESSIONAL COLLEGES
WAITING FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS.
LIFE IS A SPIDER AND PRAY GAME FOR ALL OF US.
BEWARE, OF THE SPIDERS COB WEB,
IN, WHICH ONLY SMALL FLEES, ARE ENTICED.
IT IS THEIR PENETRATING VISION
CONVERGED IN OUR POCKET.
THE SPIDER NEEDS, NOT YOUR FLESH AND BLOOD.
NEITHER YOUR BONE NOR MARROW.
IT NEEDS YOUR MONEY.
MONEY ONLY MONEY.
PREFERABLY LIQUID CASH.
CREDIT CARDS ALSO WILL BE ACCEPTED!
WHOLE THE WORLD IS A MARKET,
WHERE TRANSFERENCE OF MONEY
FROM ONE POCKET TO THE OTHER IS THE MISSION.

“WHO IS TO BELL THE CAT”

THE OLD SLOGAN WAS LIKE THAT.
THERE WERE A LOT OF TOM CATS EVERYWHERE, THRETENING US.
THE SCARCITY WAS WITH THE CAT CATCHERS.
AND BELL WAS ALSO NOT AVAILABLE IN ABUNDANCE.
IN SHORT, THERE WAS NO PROBLEM SOLVING FORMULA.

YEARS PASSED AND ERAS CHANGED.
THE LIFE STYLES AND LIFE TARGETS ALSO HAVE CHANGED.
THE YOUTH HAVE GOT MORE EXPOSURE.
COMMUNICATION FACILITIES DEVELOPED.
WORLD BECAME A SMALL VILLAGE.
CAT HAS LOST ITS HIDEOUTS.
TECHNOLOGIES DEVELOPED TO PRODUCE BELLS AT CUT PRICE.

EVERY PROBLEM HAS GOT INSTANT REMEDIES.
CAT BECAME EXTINCT AND BELLS BECAME POPULAR.
THE SLOGAN ALSO HAS CHANGED A LOT.
“IS THERE ANY CAT IN YOUR HOUSE TO BELL?”

LOOK AT THE STREET.
THERE ARE  LOT OF HAWKERS TO SELLOUT THE BELL.
THERE SEE PEOPLE AT DOOR SERVICE TO BELL THE CAT.
BUT THE POOR CAT IS NOWHERE TO SEE.

GOOD ACTORS ALONE SURVIVE

Once a friend asked “How can we assess one’s maturity, I mean mental maturity?”
What he meant was the overt evidence on maturity.
“It can either be his approach, behaviour or his dressing.” My version was so.
“Exactly right.” He exclaimed.
It is solely ones dressing proves his mental maturity. At an age of immaturity one wears dresses in a changing style. He combs the hairstyle depending upon the trend of the day. After some years, he feels a particular style of dressing and hairstyle suited to him, on which he would stick on through out the lifetime.
Agreed? Then, tell me frankly, Are you matured?

In my assessment, maturity also rests with our ability to act in the real life. In the office I am a good actor. So others branded me as a model officer. I have to respect my superiors to get their favours. Yes I am an actor before them with high degree of reverence at least in acting. In their absence I have no timidity to humiliate their personality! To my subordinates my face and acts are entirely different, like the other side of the coin. I am strict to some staff, propitiating and patting some others and ignoring yet others. In the name of ‘effective’ man management, I have to play well to placate the game. I even pretend to threat them with a tone of an autocrat. In the home, how is me with my parents, my wife and child?  I am entirely different personality in the society. On seeing my old teacher at an arms length, I used to down my folded dhoti to appease him, apparently an act of respect. I would even fold the dhoti at a distant sight of the teacher, obviously to unfold  at his direct sight, right? In the company with my friends, I become another one; I can use any terms to pronounce them. Even I can be a bit sub standard at times of company with my bosom friends. If I think all these acts as exhibitionism and eschew from the thespian life, what would be the remarks of the public on me. Behaving to the subordinates and higher ups in the same sequence and wave length, speaking to the parents and friends in the same tone…what an awkward situation. So it is my advice to the new generation to be good actors in life. Hypocrisy is often criticized, but all of us practice and promote that with great enthusiasm and reverence. It has its own relevance in civilized society.

A GOOD ACTOR IS A GOOD SON TO THE PARENTS.
A GOOD THESPEAN IS A GOOD CITIZEN IN THE SOCIETY.
A GOOD HYPOCRIT IS AN ACCEPTED SALES MAN IN THE MARKET.

PHYSICAL PERSONALITY

How can we get recognition?
In the classroom it can be with a meritorious performance.
There should be a teacher to recognize the student with a comment ‘Good’.
In the campus it can be with a glamour look plus some mischief.
There should be a lover/ love to encourage him or her.
In the society it can be with a high sounding language or with aristocratic style.
There should be some rank and file to rally behind him.
Are all of them truly deserved?
Are all ‘truly deserved’ people getting aptly recognized? Forget.
It is a matter needs meticulous debates.
Can a campus hero maintain his recognition through out his life?
Will it do, same tactics, for getting recognition in the society?
He may be vanished in the depth of memory in due course.
There are men with extra physical appearance.
They may be catching the attention of the public.
They need not necessarily be a person with good personality.
God will not give all fortunes to one or all ill fortunes to another one.
There are persons with physical deformity, but with high mental caliber.
There are persons with mental deformity, but with spiritual exaltation.
Sri Buddha was believed as insane when he eschewed his castle.
Matha Amritanandamayi and Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa were attributed with such accusations like; they were insane during their youth hood days.
Even the family had written off them in the days of their so-called insanity.
But later they have proved them saner than those who insinuated them.
A little eccentric is an ample credence of ones distinction from others.
That can either be towards goodness or evil.
It is the responsibility of the society to trace out the positive difference.
Rather they bluntly oppose the eccentrics calling ‘insane’.
Further, there should be some one like Swami Vivekananda or Swami Amritaswaroopanandapuri to translate their divinity to the world.
No spiritual leader was colourful in complexion.
None were with colossal physical personality.
We accepted them and visualized spiritual beauty in them.
We attributed them with the models of personality, divinity and magnificence.
Or, infact what is physical personality, is it only a misconception?

DO NOT PREACH HIGH SOUNDING PHILOSOPHIES;
NONE CAN PRACTICE THE SAME PHILOSOPHY
THROUGH OUT ONES LIFE SPAN.

I DONT TAKE LIQUORS.
I DON’T ACCEPT BRIBES.
I DON’T USE MOBILE PHONES.
I DON’T PURCHASE VEHICLE.
OR
I’LL BE A COMMUNIST FOR EVER.
I DISAGREE WITH PENTACOASTS
I HATE MUSLIMS

GOOD!

CAN YOU PRACTICE THESE THROUGHOUT YOUR LIFE TIME?
NEVER,NEVER.
There is an age in everybody’s life when thoughts are derailed.
The tenure can be a decade,
A year, a month
A day, an hour or even the fraction of a second.
Which turns them Orthodox to the heterodox,
Conventional to the modern,

Mediocre to the extremist

Or many time a platonic lover from misogynist.

Is it for recognition?
To register your protest?
Or due to unknown psychic reasons?

HOW I BECOME A DRUNKARD.
HOW I TURNED TO A BRIBER.
WHY I USE 2 MOBILES AT A TIME.
WHY I’VE PURCHASED A ‘FORTUNER’ CAR.
HOW I TRANSFERRED A COMMUNIST.
HOW I WEDDED TO A MUSLIM GIRL.
HOW I ADOPTED PETACOASTAL FAITH?
VERY GOOD!
It is most wonderful.
The much-nurtured philosophy may vanish.
At once as a flash.
Don’t you feet so?
Philosophy is a pendulum
Oscillates to both ends equally.
SO……
DO NOT PREACH HIGH SOUNDING PHILOSOPHIES

OH!  WONDERFUL

How many times one can change his ideology in the lifetime?
Yes. It depends.
Can one stay put in with out any philosophical variations?
I do believe, never, never.
Am I not right?

Young and smart one changes to gray and wrinkled when time goes.
Lean one can become fat and stout within months.
Rich can become destitute and i reverse within days.

Changes in beliefs can be of multi dimensional.
It can be of Faith in God, say theism to atheism.
Let it be about Mild politics to revolutionary extremism.
Often seeing wonder is from Spirituality to drunkard and vice versa.

The laissez-faire like us on seeing this somersault would astonish.
One may surprise and cry aloud “ Oh Wonderful”, raising his both arms ahead.
Fortunately we do not see or hear others uttering the same, peeping at us.
Less matured ones may try to correct others.
The pot calling kettle black.
The ultimate result is the origin of a registered foe.
No one likes to rectify him from the path in which be proceed.
Be the Way correct or incorrect. Who am I to adjudge?
Whether acceptable to the society or not. Is it the sole society in the world?
Is there any thing Good and Bad?
It is our tradition decides the merit. Is our tradition also static? Nothing!
‘Good’ to a culture need not be good to another.
Do not raise sound for the protection of so-called Good.
You may become a preacher for its antonym in the future.
The best thing is to exclaim “ Oh Wonderful”
And keep laissez faire.
There is reason for everybody doing wrong.
PUT YOUR REMARKS “OH! WONDERFUL” PROFUSELY.
LOOK AT THE WONDERS ARROUND YOU AS A TRAVELLER.
AND REMAIN AS A WONDER TO OTHERS LIKE A MONUMENT.
.
