I KOW THE GEOGRAPHY OF THE WORLD.

I AM WELL WORSEDWITH THE GEOGRAPHY OF INDIA.

SURE, I KNOW THE GEOGRAPHY OF MY STATE.

I CAN DRAW THE MAPS OF WORLD, NATION AND THE STATE WITHOUT MUCH DIFFERENCE.

WHAT ABOUT MY KNOWLEDGE  ON MY OWN DISTRICT.

NOT UP TO MY KNOWLEDGE ON WORLD, NATION AND STATE.

LET ME COME DOWN TO MY TALUK, BLOCK , GRAMAPANCHAYATH  OR ITS WARD.

I BECOME ABSOLUTELY IGNORANT WHEN I COME DOWN TO THE LOWER GEOGRAPHY.

I CANNOT EVEN IDENTIFY THE MAPS OF MY WARD, PANCHAYATH OR EVEN MY TALUK.

I DARE GENERALISE THESE LIMITATIONS TO ATTRIBUTE ON MANY OTHERS TOO!

WHAT WE KNOW IS BIGGER THING ONLY.

HISTORIC PROFICIENCY

History is the narration of the facts of the past.

Who is authorized to scribe and narrate the historic evidences?

About the same incident, there would be a lot of documentary narrations.

All of them might have some variations.

Even there might be vast difference, or poles apart.

It is the duty of the historians to separate the goat from the sheep.

Prejudice is a factor, which affects the truth of the history.

There might be the colour of nation and religion as deciding factor to some one.

History is good for indoctrinating knowledge on the past of human culture,

origin and evolution of nations, the dynastic rule and the decline of the kingdoms.

To a good historian, he knows the succession of Mogul dynasty to Nehru family.

Baber, Humayun, Akber, Shajahan, and Aurangaseb: the succession is well known.

It is good he knows Motilal, Jawaharlal, Indira, Rajeev and Rahul.

Knowing five generations of popular ones in the history is quiet simple.

That is what we are teaching to the Primary school students.

But how many of us know five generation of our own succession?

It is a matter of wonder; even eminent historians know not more than three generations of his own lineage ,if not prepared for a quiz competition!

That is the flaw and flop of the historic proficiency of our civilized men.

WE KNOW THE NAMES OF ALL OTHER’S FORE FATHERS,

BUT DO NOT KNOW THE NAME OF OUR GRAND FATHER.

THEY INCURRED INITIAL COMMITMENT, SOME TIMES ABOVE THE AFFORDABILITY OF THE AVERAGE CUSTOMERS OF THOSE DAYS.

BUT THEY HAD NOT CARVED ANYTHING MORE AFTER THEY OWN TO US. WHAT ABOUT THE NEW ONES, THE CABLE T.V, COMPUTER,

THE MOBILE PHONE, THE MOTOR CYCLE, CAR , FLAT….AND SO ON.

THEY DEMAND ONLY AN AFFORDABLE COST INITIALLY.

HOW MANY TIMES OF ITS INITIAL COST THEY ARE EATING WITH IN A PERIOD OF TEN YEARS, HAVE YOU EVER COMPUTED?

THAT IS THE ECONOMICS OF THE ADVANCED MARKETING TECHNIQUE.

CAN IT BE BLAIMED AS A HIDDEN AGENDA?

IT'S ONLY A COMPARISON.

DO YOU KNOW ALL THE AILMENTS HAVE MEDICINES IN THE NATURE?

LIKE WISE, ALL THE CRIMES HAVE RETAINED SOME EVIDENCES.

IT IS MADE BY THE GOD,ALMIGHTY

FOR THE WELL BEING OF THE MANKIND,

BOTH PHYSICALLY AS WELL AS SOCIALLY.

THE SKILL OF THE PHYSICIAN IS TO DIAGNOSE THE DISEASE

AND TO PRISCRIBE THE APT MEDICINE. 

THE DUTY OF THE INVESTIGATOR IS TO COMB OUT THE CRIMINAL EVIDENCE

 AND TO BOOK THE CULPRIT.

SO, IT IS A LOGICAL COMPARISON THAT

CRIMES HAVE PROXIMITY TO DISEASES AND

ILLNESSES ARE THE SIMILY TO CRIMINALS.

IT IS MY THEORY.

IT IS MY OWN CONCLUSION.

I CALL THIS PARLANCE, ‘CRIMEDICINE’.

BRIBE OF WHOM IS MOST DEPLORABLE?

NO DOUBT; DOCTORS IT SELF.

Would it be glorified if Doctors bribe renamed ‘consultation fee’?

It is like asking which part of “stool piece” is better. Obviously it is obscene.

Generally speaking, bribery is an obscene crime.

“Accepting or demanding a bribe is charged under CRPC”;

thus it is written and exhibited in all offices.

I don’t know whether it is to remind the customer if he fails to bribe the officer.

What is the impact of bribing?

It is either looting the pocket of a customer, who deserves/deprives service, or

eroding the revenue of the Government.

Without both or either there is no bribe. And both are pilferage of public money. Right?

Many donors pay the bribe for obtaining undeserved orders and allotments.

Yet others do the practice for speedy disposal of files.

Again there is a sector, do the perpetration for smoothening of future dealings.

Industries officer receives the bribe for the subsidy he paid to the unit.

The sales tax people get it for the tax evaded.

In both the cases, the officer is very happy and the donor is partly happy.

He might be thinking of the incentives or profits he received.

The layman who paid cash to the Village Officer also would be at solace,

as he got the certificate in time to produce before some others for some gains.

Relatively assessing: the public will view the act of the later with a bit grievance.

The formers would not disclose their act, as they are the benefactors.

Probably they also feel that the Officer had helped them out of way.

So the payment is for the risk taken.

What about a Government Doctor doing private practice in the Office hours?

And that too, demanding the mutilated little currency from the poor patient’s wallet.

It is for saving their life, or curing the pain the patients are coming to the Doctor.

It is not for making any profit or incentives.

Is it scrupulous to receive alms from destitute?

To a government Doctor, majority of the patients would be from the lower strata.

In the currency notes they pay, is there salty wetness of their tears?

The Doctors, who are supposed to be the saviors of the patients,

that too drawing a covetous salary from the Government,

accepting the shabby bribe from the patients on demand, what a shame!

I don’t think a mere renaming of this evil as “consultation fees”

would help save them at the days of final judgment.

NO DOUBT: THE DOCTORS BRIBERY IS THE MOST ASHAMED.

WANT TO BE HUNCH AND BALD?

In Government Service

all the politicians,

all the legislatures ,

all the executives,

all the judiciary

all the fourth estate

and to the last all the people

are Boss to  employees.

Bowed, bowed, bowed his backbone becomes a bow,

Scratched, scratched, scratched his scalp becomes bald,

and his attitude becomes a blunt edged arrow when he nears to the retirement.

The only advantage is the so-called security aspect and the pension benefit.

In the Private Service he needs to respect and obey a single Boss.

He can score payments better to his ability.

The edge becomes sharper and sharper.

Which one our new generations like?

‘AJNATHAN’- THE STRANGER.

IS IT AN UNENDING THREAT,

THE MENACE OF ‘AJNATHAN’, THE ANONYMOUS STRANGER IS ALWAYS THERE EVERYWHERE.

WE SEE NEWS FLASHES.

“STRANGER ATTACKED THE COMMERCIAL COMPLEX AND KILLED MANY”

OR “MILITARY OFFICER SHOT DEAD BY STRANGER”

 IN THE SAME DAY THERE APPEARED IN THE NEWS PAPER.

“SEEN THE carcass OF STRANGER IN THE RAILWAY TRACK”

OH! THE STRANGER IS OVER, I THOUGHT SO, AND RELAXED.

THERE WON’T BE THE NUISANCE OF HIM THERE AFTER.

NEXT DAY ALSO I SAW SIMILER NEWS,

BUT WITH DIFFERENT PLACE OR DIFFERENT CONTEXT,

OR DIFFERENT VICTIMS;

BUT STRANGER remainED a constant.

HE IS THE ONE WITH OUT CHANGE, A FANTASTIC PHENOMENON.

Is there no end for the STRANGER?

IT REMAINS UNIDENTIFIED FOREVER.

STRANGER IS ALWAYS IN A CAMOFLAGUE TO THE SURROUNDINGS.

IT CONTINUES as a riddle.

I KNOW THIS IS A PEURILE PUZZLE;

STILL I ENJOY THE FLASH NEWS WITH CHILDISH CRAZE.

“WHO HAS WRITTEN THIS NONSENSE?” IS N’T IT?
